Powerboat P1 unveils rebranded championship
|

Powerboat P1 Management will integrate the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Association (F4SA), the largest off-shore powerboat championship in the world, into the Powerboat P1 SuperStock Championship from 2010.
The integration of the two series will see them racing together in the opening grand prix of the Sea in Split, Croatia, from April 16-18. The official announcement came at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show on Friday held at the ExCeL exhibition and conference centre. Current Powerboat P1 leading lady and former F4SA champion Shelley Jory introduced the teams including 225 Class team, Heights of Abraham and 150 Class heroes. The new Powerboat P1 SuperStock Championship will incorporate new technical regulations, a new media and broadcasting platform and gives competitors the opportunity to race across an enhanced calendar of races in the UK, as well as in Europe for the first time. It is hoped the new championship will increase Powerboat P1’s presence in the UK. |
