Le Floc’h leaves UEFA as new commercial structure emerges
UEFA’s long-standing head of marketing Philippe Le Floc’h is to leave European football’s governing body after a 10-year career, as details emerge about the structure of Uefa’s new in-house commercial arm.

According to TV Sports Markets, UEFA sent a letter to broadcasters last week explaining UEFA Events, a wholly-owned subsidiary created to manage and handle UEFA’s commercial and event operations, will split into two divisions, operations and marketing.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, the current head of media sales and Le Floch’s number two, will head up the marketing division, responsible for all marketing and commercial activities, including media rights sales, across all UEFA competitions.

Martin Kallen will head up an operations division responsible for Euro 2012 and all other UEFA events. Philippe Margraff, previously head of the commercial department, will be Euro 2012 sales director responsible for the tournament’s sponsorship and hospitality programmes.

Alexandre Fourtoy, head of UEFA Media technologies, will take over the vacant position of UEFA Communications director, retaining responsibility for all content production and communications. Alasdair Bell, previously a partner at London law firm McDermott Will & Emery, has been appointed UEFA’s legal director.
